Your Tasks

As an Account Manager, Field Services & Machinery, you will partner with customers and technical experts to deliver testing, inspection, field evaluation, certification, and compliance solutions. This customer-facing role combines account management, technical solution selling, and business development to support customer success and drive business growth.

  • Manage assigned customer accounts and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process.
  • Develop and deliver quotations, proposals, and commercial solutions aligned with customer requirements and TÜV SÜD service offerings.
  • Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, web channels, and virtual meetings while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend testing, inspection, field evaluation, certification, and machinery compliance solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive account management and regular engagement activities.
  • Conduct customer visits and collaborate with engineering teams to understand products, compliance requirements, and testing objectives.
  • Manage sales opportunities and customer activities within CRM systems, maintaining accurate forecasts, pipelines, and records.
  • Coordinate project handoff activities and ensure a seamless transition from sales through project execution.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to develop customer-focused solutions and support business growth initiatives.

Your Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in account management, business development, technical sales, customer service, or a related commercial role.
  • Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate customer requirements into business solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.
  • Experience supporting field services, machinery compliance, product safety, electrical safety, or industrial equipment certifications.
  • Working knowledge of machinery regulations and standards, including NRTL, OSHA, CE Marking, NFPA 79, UL 508A, EN 60204-1, ISO 12100, UL 2011, and related requirements.
  • Experience supporting laboratory-based testing, field evaluations, or product certification services.
  • Experience working with international customers and global compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of project management processes and technical product development lifecycles.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $82,000 - $106,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.

The compensation package may also include commission earnings and/or an annual incentive opportunity, subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms.
