OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Account Manager, you will serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned customer accounts, working closely with our highly motivated technical experts and laboratory teams to support customer requirements and deliver tailored compliance and certification solutions across a broad portfolio of services.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong customer relationship management skills, technical aptitude, and experience supporting clients within an engineering, testing, or regulatory compliance environment.

The role supports laboratory-based testing and certification services including EMC, RF/Wireless, Product Safety, Medical Device, and Cybersecurity disciplines. You will be responsible for managing customer relationships throughout the full project lifecycle, identifying opportunities for account growth, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.

The Account Manager will act as a key liaison between customers and internal operational teams, ensuring timely communication, accurate project scoping, and effective coordination of customer needs while delivering value-added compliance solutions throughout the customer journey.

Your Tasks

  • Manage quotations, proposals, and customer accounts using CRM and internal project management tools.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, virtual meetings, and web channels while providing excellent customer support throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  • Provide tailored compliance and certification solutions from TÜV SÜD’s service portfolio for both medical and non-medical electrical and wireless products.
  • Conduct customer meetings and site visits to understand product technologies, regulatory requirements, testing needs, and project timelines.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for cross-selling and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with engineering, laboratory operations, and project management teams to ensure accurate project scoping, quotations, and successful project execution.
  • Maintain accurate prospect lists, sales pipelines, opportunity tracking, and customer records within CRM systems.
  • Support project setup activities and ensure smooth handoff from quotation and sales phases into laboratory execution.
  • Communicate project updates, scheduling information, and compliance requirements effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop working knowledge of domestic and international regulatory and certification requirements across medical and non-medical industries.

Your Qualifications

  • Recent experience in account management or delivering EMC, RF/Wireless, or Product Safety Test Services in a TIC environment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and electronic product compliance requirements for consumer, industrial, wireless, and/or medical device products.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulatory submission requirements (FDA, EU MDR).
  • Experience dealing with international customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601, IEC/UL 62368, FCC, ISED, EU RED, or other EMC/Wireless/Product Safety standards is considered a plus.
