Junior Project Manager

Your Tasks

As a Junior Project Manager, you will provide project coordination and administrative support for technical laboratory services, including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electrical Safety, Wireless, Cybersecurity, and related testing programs. Working alongside Project Managers, Department Managers, and Technical Leads, you will help ensure projects are executed efficiently, schedules are maintained, and customers receive outstanding service throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support the coordination of active customer projects by tracking schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Maintain project schedules, internal tracking systems, and project documentation to ensure accurate project visibility.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively communicate potential delays, risks, or issues to project stakeholders.
  • Assist with customer communications regarding project status, documentation requests, and anticipated completion timelines.
  • Coordinate information flow between customers, engineers, technical leads, laboratory personnel, and project teams.
  • Support project administration activities including project setup, scope verification, invoicing, quotations, purchase orders, and project close-out activities.
  • Assist with resource planning, workload coordination, and scheduling to support efficient laboratory operations.
  • Ensure project records, engineering hours, test documentation, and administrative data remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve project coordination and administrative processes.
  • Provide operational support through vendor coordination, calibration scheduling, supply ordering, and laboratory administrative activities.

Your Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, customer service, laboratory operations, or a technical support environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, cooperative education, or early-career experience in engineering, laboratory, testing, certification, or project management environments.
  • Experience working within a regulated testing, inspection, or certification environment.
  • Familiarity with project management systems, ERP tools, or customer relationship management software.
  • Experience supporting technical teams, engineers, or laboratory operations.
  • Understanding of testing, certification, compliance, or laboratory workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $60,000 - $75,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.

The compensation package may also include an annual incentive opportunity, subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms.
