Tasks
As the Business Development Director, you will lead and inspire a high-performing hunter-style sales team to drive growth across TÜV SÜD’s Industrial, Consumer, and Transportation business units. You will set the strategy, develop new markets, and strengthen our customer relationships to ensure continued success and expansion across North America.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of business development professionals to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with divisional objectives.

Identify and pursue new market opportunities through proactive engagement and strategic partnerships.

Build and maintain relationships with key clients to drive retention and long-term growth.

Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM data accuracy.

Use performance metrics to analyze trends and continuously optimize sales effectiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align go-to-market strategies and deliver exceptional customer value.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferred.

8–10 years of experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.

Minimum 5–8 years of proven success in sales leadership roles.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing hunter-style sales teams.

Experience selling complex technical or compliance solutions to senior-level decision makers.

Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $130,000 – $190,000.
Actual base pay will be determined based on factors such as years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
