The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding TÜV SÜD’s presence across key service areas including Information Technology Equipment (ITE), industrial products, consumer goods, EMC testing, and electrical safety certification. This role works closely with Regional Management, Engineering, and Project Management teams to develop structured sales strategies, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and support end-to-end project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & Account Development

Actively collaborate with the Regional Manager and Engineering teams to manage, maintain, and grow sales in core service areas such as ITE, industrial equipment, consumer products, laboratory instruments, EMC, and electrical safety.

Develop and execute structured sales strategies tailored to the assigned region, market sectors, and target customer profiles.

Expand existing client relationships through strategic cross-selling and up-selling of complementary testing, inspection, certification, and cybersecurity services.

Identify new business opportunities to drive regional growth and meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
Client Engagement & Consultative Selling

Present TÜV SÜD service offerings to existing and prospective clients, providing expert guidance on testing, regulatory pathways, and certification requirements.

Serve as the primary commercial point of contact, ensuring clear communication, professional interaction, and a high-quality customer experience at all stages of the engagement.

Understand client needs, technical challenges, and product compliance goals, translating them into actionable proposals and service packages.
Sales Cycle Ownership

Manage the complete sales cycle—from initial inquiry and requirements gathering through proposal generation, deal negotiation, and successful project hand-off.

Create accurate and detailed quotations for testing and certification services based on product specifications, technical requirements, and applicable compliance standards.

Negotiate commercial terms, service agreements, and pricing while maintaining alignment with internal profitability guidelines.

Ensure all sales activities, communications, and customer data are accurately documented and maintained in the CRM system.
Internal Collaboration & Execution Support

Work closely with engineering, lab management, and project management teams to ensure proper scoping, resource planning, and timely project execution.

Participate in internal sales and pipeline meetings, providing forecasts, market intelligence, and customer insights that support operational planning.

Help resolve escalations and coordinate internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
Industry & Technical Expertise

Maintain strong working knowledge of EMC testing procedures, electrical safety compliance requirements, and key regulatory frameworks applicable to customer products.

Stay informed on industry trends, new standards, evolving regulatory requirements, and competitor offerings to better position TÜV SÜD’s services.

Support marketing initiatives, customer seminars, and trade shows as needed to strengthen brand presence within the region.
Qualifications

Experience selling EMC and electrical safety testing services or similar technical/engineering services.

Solid understanding of regulatory compliance processes, certification schemes, and product testing workflows.

Strong communication skills—articulate, professional, courteous, and effective with both internal and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to prepare accurate quotations and manage complex sales cycles.

Experience using CRM tools for tracking sales activities, forecasting, and data entry.

Demonstrated success in technical sales or account management within the testing, inspection, certification, or electronics industry is highly preferred.
