The Energy Data & Benchmarking Intern supports the delivery of high-quality benchmarking and energy performance services in alignment with SIG’s mission to promote a more sustainable built environment. As a member of SIG’s ENERGY STAR & Ordinances team, the intern will assist with utility data management, ENERGY STAR certifications, ordinance research, and client support tasks across a portfolio of commercial buildings. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with energy data systems, building performance benchmarking tools, and sustainability compliance programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about energy efficiency, data accuracy, and environmental responsibility. |

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a related field such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or Data Analytics. Prior internship, academic, or project experience related to energy benchmarking, sustainability, or utility data analysis is preferred but not required. A strong interest in energy efficiency, building performance, and tools such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is highly encouraged. |
