Job Summary:

TÜV SÜD is strengthening its leadership position in Sustainability, ESG, and Climate Services globally. South Asia is a strategic growth market driven by regulatory developments (SEBI BRSR, BRSR Core, Climate Disclosure norms), corporate sustainability commitments, and global supply-chain requirements.

The Business Unit Head – Sustainability Services, South Asia will have full P&L ownership and will be responsible for building, scaling, and governing TÜV SÜD’s Sustainability Services business in South Asia. The role integrates sales leadership, operational excellence, regulatory stewardship, and strategic alignment with TÜV SÜD’s global sustainability vision. This is a senior leadership role with accountability for commercial growth, delivery excellence, regulatory compliance, and brand reputation.

Your Tasks

1. Business Leadership & P&L Ownership

• Full ownership of P&L for Sustainability Services in South Asia, including revenue growth, margins, cost management, and long-term profitability.
• Define and execute multi-year growth strategy aligned with TÜV SÜD South Asia objectives and Global Sustainability roadmap.
• Drive portfolio expansion across assurance, verification, advisory, and sustainability transformation services.

2. Market Growth & Sales

• Lead sales and market development for Sustainability Services, including:
• ESG & Sustainability Assurance and Verification
• Climate Services (Carbon Foot printing, De Carbonization)
• Drive sales and cross-selling within TÜV SÜD service lines, and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure strong sales governance, pipeline visibility, and predictable order intake.

3. Operations, Delivery & Quality Excellence

• Own end-to-end delivery responsibility across South Asia, ensuring TÜV SÜD’s standards of quality, impartiality, and technical excellence.
• Ensure on-time, compliant, and high-quality execution of sustainability projects with zero major customer complaints.
• Maintain adherence to accreditation requirements, TÜV SÜD quality systems, and global delivery frameworks.
• Optimize resource planning, assessor capacity, utilization, and operational KPIs.

4. Regulatory & Climate Leadership

       •       Lead TÜV SÜD South Asia’s initiatives on carbon footprint reduction, decarbonization, and climate action.

       •       Ensure compliance with climate-related regulations and ESG disclosure requirements.
       •       Develop scalable climate solutions and represent TÜV SÜD in industry and regulatory forums

5. Global & Matrix Collaboration

• Work closely with the Group CSO Office to ensure alignment with global methodologies, innovation initiatives, and sustainability frameworks.
• Collaborate with global and regional sustainability leaders to localize and scale TÜV SÜD global solutions in South Asia.

6. Leadership, Governance & Culture

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team across sales, technical experts, auditors, and operations.
• Embed TÜV SÜD values of safety, integrity, impartiality, and excellence.
• Drive strong governance, ethical conduct, and compliance across all sustainability activities.

Your Qualifications

• Engineering / Environmental Science / Sustainability / MBA or equivalent
• Sustainability or ESG certifications are an advantage.
• 12+ years of leadership experience in TIC, sustainability, ESG assurance, certification, or consulting.
• Demonstrated success in running a business unit with P&L accountability.
• Strong experience balancing sales growth and operational excellence in a matrix organization.
• Exposure to global stakeholders and governance frameworks preferred.
