Position Summary:
Vertical Transportation Consultant incorporating design, project management and maintenance account management services to major clients and projects.
Responsibilities and authority:
- Site surveys, evaluation and assessment of existing lift and escalator installation.
- Produce client reports with recommendations and solutions
- Produce technical and performance specifications
- Analysis of contractor proposals and production of tender reports
- Project management of refurbishment and new installations
- Quality auditing of existing installations for maintenance reporting
- Principal designer duties
- Client account management – liaising with contractors to ensure delivery of their contracted services
- Preparation of fee proposals, invoicing and credit control for projects and service client responsibilities
- Seeking and generating new clients and projects
- Producing Excel spreadsheet reports, graphs and data
- Proof reading technical reports
- Assist in debt chasing
- Assist in completion of PQQ and tender questionnaires and documentation
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in lift industry operational roles
- NVQ3 lift engineering
Specific skills, knowledge, competencies and training
Essential:
- Account management experience
- Previous VT experience
- Knowledge of MS Excel
- Lift management experience
- Health and safety qualification, EOR202 safe working on lifts a minimum
- Demonstrable ability to produce client reports
Desirable:
- Traffic analysis
- Commercial experience (sales)
- BTEC HNC Mechanical or Electrical, or higher qualification
- Qualified and experienced site based Lift Engineer to Technician NVQ4
- Applications are welcomed from all experience levels within the lift idustry as training will be provided.
