Position Summary:

The People Solutions Specialist delivers high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused People services across the employee lifecycle while contributing to a consistent employee experience across the region.

Working within the Centre of People Solutions, the role combines operational excellence with specialist knowledge. In addition to delivering services, the specialist develops deep expertise within assigned processes, acts as a trusted subject matter expert, and contributes to the continuous improvement and standardization & digitization of People services across local and regional operations.

The role operates with a high level of ownership, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance service quality, and support the evolution of the People function.

 

Responsibilities and authority:

Service Delivery

  • Deliver assigned People services accurately, efficiently, and within agreed service levels.
  • Ensure high-quality experience for employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Execute operational processes in accordance with global standards, local legislation, and internal policies.
  • Resolve operational issues independently and escalate complex cases where appropriate

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge within assigned people processes.
  • Serve as trusted point of contact for colleagues and stakeholders within areas of expertise.     
  • Monitor legislative, policy, and process changes relevant to supported countries.
  • Share knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues to strengthen team capability.

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve operational processes
  • Independently lead small and medium-sized improvement initiatives within assigned areas
  • Contribute to automation, process optimisation, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Maintain accurate process documentation and support the development or the regional knowledge base.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Build effective working relationships with Business Partners, Centres of Expertise, People teams, Managers and external partners.
  • Collaborate across countries to promote consistent ways of working while respecting local requirements.
  • Support the successful implementation of new processes, tools, and organisational initiatives.

Data quality & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate employee data and documentation across People systems
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, GDPR or other local data protection, and local employment legislation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues.

Reporting & Insights

  • Contribute to operational reporting and service performance monitoring.
  • Support the preparation and validation of reports and operational metrics.
  • Develop specialist knowledge in assigned reporting areas where applicable.

 

Specific skills, knowledge, competencies and training

Essential:

  • Experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a comparable operational environment with a strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality services with a strong customer focus, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy and compliance
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and take ownership or tasks and operational outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, or optimise operational processes.
  • Ability to develop subject matter expertise with assigned processes and confidently share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across regional teams and functions.
  • Good digital literacy and experience working with HR systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and reporting of case management tools
  • Understanding of data privacy, confidentiality, GDPR principles, and applicable employment legislation relevant to the supported countries.
  • Adaptability and resilience with the ability to operate effectively in a changing, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.
  • Processional proficiency in English; additional European languages are considered an advantage depending on the supported region.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience participating in or leading operational improvement, automation, change, or transformation initiatives, supported by training or certifications such as Lean, Six Sigma yellow Belt, PRINCE 2 Foundation, Agile foundation or change management.
  • Experience with global HR operating models and enterprise HR systems such as SAP Success factors, Workday, ServiceNow, or comparable platforms.
  • Professional HR qualifications or certifications (e.g. CIPD, SHRM, HRCI) or relevant training in employment law, operational excellence, project management, or data analytics.
