Business Development Manager - Wireless

Tasks

As Business Development Manager – Wireless, you will drive the growth of TÜV SÜD’s wireless services in North America. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, building strong partnerships, and positioning TÜV SÜD as the trusted partner for TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) services in the wireless sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a strategic business development plan for wireless services across telecom, consumer electronics, automotive, and industrial sectors.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

  • Collaborating with technical teams to tailor TIC service offerings (e.g., EMC, RF testing, SAR, OTA, regulatory compliance) to customer needs.

  • Preparing proposals, leading negotiations, and closing deals to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  • Providing market intelligence on emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry trends to guide innovation.

  • Representing TÜV SÜD at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to raise brand visibility.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the wireless, telecom, or related TIC industries.

  • Strong understanding of wireless technologies, regulatory compliance, and testing services (EMC, RF, SAR, OTA).

  • Ability to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and close deals in a competitive market.

  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and experience delivering against revenue targets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel to clients, industry events, and TÜV SÜD sites as required.

The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $180,000 – $210,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, 12 weeks of paid parental leave, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.
