Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, developing, and implementing integration scenarios on the SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI).
- Analyze technical integration requirements in close collaboration with business departments, IT teams, and external partners.
- Development, adaptation, and maintenance of iFlows to connect cloud and on-premises systems (e.g., SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Concur, and S/4HANA)
- Implement integration solutions following Clean Core, reusability, security, and governance principles.
- Design and support API-led integration architectures using SAP API Management.
- Contribute to event-driven integration scenarios leveraging asynchronous messaging patterns and SAP Event Mesh concepts.
- Perform technical analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause investigation, and incident resolution for productive integration environments.
- Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, error-handling, and alerting mechanisms to ensure operational stability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including interface specifications, flow designs, mapping documentation, parameter catalogs, and operational procedures.
- Plan and execute unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities while coordinating with business and testing teams.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, platform owners, and solution teams to ensure a sustainable and future-proof integration architecture.
- Support the continuous improvement of DevOps, CI/CD, transport management, governance, and deployment processes.
- Drive adherence to development standards, naming conventions, security requirements, and integration best practices.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite.
- Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, Groovy, Message Mapping, and REST/SOAP-based services.
- Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP applications in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Solid understanding of SAP integration technologies such as IDoc, OData, RFC/BAPI, SuccessFactors APIs, and S/4HANA integration patterns.
- Practical experience with monitoring, debugging, performance optimization, and error analysis within productive integration environments.
- Good understanding of enterprise integration patterns including synchronous, asynchronous, API-based, file-based, and event-driven integrations.
- Experience with authentication and security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, Basic Authentication, certificates, and principal propagation.
- Familiarity with SAP API Management, Event Mesh, or other integration capabilities within SAP Integration Suite is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, transport management, and release processes.
- Knowledge of integration governance, reusable design principles, and Clean Core architecture concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and quality-oriented working approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; German is considered an advantage.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with MuleSoft, SAP PI/PO, or other enterprise integration platforms.
- SAP Integration Suite certification.
- Experience in large-scale SAP transformation or S/4HANA migration projects.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.
- Experience with API lifecycle management and integration governance frameworks.
