Inspection Engineer

Your Tasks

  • Proven track record in managing inspections during plant shutdowns
  • In-depth understanding of static equipment and piping systems, to apply techniques relevant design principles and inspection codes of practice (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Proven experience in welding and preparation of PQR / development of corresponding WPS and preparation of WQT testing.
  • Conduct vendor and plant inspections, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Responsible for incoming materials Inspection with respect to approved Specification, Data sheets, Material Approval and quality plan.
  • Develop effective inspection/assessment strategies and Test plan to correct inspection function deficiencies.
  • Ensure all certification requirements are clearly identified, understood and included with the requisition and PO.
  • Provide technical support to systems and resolve all quality problems and conducted necessary investigations.
  • Monitor and conduct in-process and final inspection, examination, testing procedure to the product inspected and demonstrate capabilities in the following function like planning inspection, evaluating the validity and acceptance, reporting and documentation.
  • Perform field inspection to verify conformance to project specification, standard and drawing prior to final acceptance, issue site memo, site instruction, Discrepancy.
  • Responsible for Various grade material inspections.
  • Should be able to keep record of all daily activities including inspection of all input materials.
  • Correlating with team for the smooth running of the projects and to maintain the quality of work
  • Prepare inspection report and submission on time.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plant inspection within the oil & gas industry, particularly in NDT and inspection techniques
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/material engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with QA/QC.
  • (CWI or CSWIPE 3.1) + API 510 certificates is a must.
  • Experience in Third Party Inspection companies/industry is a must.
  • Business fluent in English language.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
