Manager - Institutional Sales

Your Tasks:

The Manager – Institutional Sales will be responsible for setting up and scaling the institutional business across India, focusing on universities and colleges. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong execution capability who can design, develop, and drive the entire ecosystem for institutional partnerships.

1. Business Setup & Strategy

  • Create a comprehensive roadmap and business plan for institutional sales across India
  • Identify target segments: engineering colleges, universities, arts & management institutions
  • Define revenue models, pricing strategy, and partnership frameworks

2. Market Research & Product Development

  • Conduct in-depth research on academic needs, skill gaps, and employability trends
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop relevant training program, content development  and certifications
  • Customize offerings based on institutional requirements

3. Go-To-Market Strategy

  • Design and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for institutional engagement
  • Build positioning for TÜV SÜD Academy as a preferred skilling partner
  • Plan campaigns, outreach programs, seminars, and academic collaborations

4. Institutional Engagement & Sales

  • Identify, connect, and build relationships with decision-makers (Chancellors, Vice Chancellors, Principal and Directors)
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting → Seminar - negotiation → closure
  • Drive strategic partnerships and long-term MoUs with institutions

5. Network & Relationship Building

  • Leverage existing network across PAN India colleges (mandatory)
  • Build a strong pipeline across engineering colleges; exposure to arts and management institutions is an added advantage
  • Represent TÜV SÜD in academic forums, events, and industry meets

6. Execution & Scaling

  • Establish processes, frameworks, and reporting mechanisms for the vertical
  • Track KPIs, revenue targets, and institutional onboarding metrics
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth program execution

Your Qualifications

  • 8–15 years of experience in Institutional Sales / Education Sales / B2B Academic Partnerships
  • Proven track record of building business from scratch or scaling a new vertical
  • Strong PAN India network with universities and colleges (especially engineering institutions)
  • Experience in skilling, training, certification, or edtech domain in institutional sales preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
