Your Tasks
- Conduct infrared thermographic inspections in industrial and commercial facilities to identify electrical and mechanical equipment issues under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Perform field engineering surveys following GRC baseline requirements and client specific instructions.
- Assist in equipment inventory collection, documentation, and image capture using infrared cameras and related tools.
- Support the preparation of Thermographic Survey Reports, including accurate findings, probable cause evaluations, and recommendations.
- Learn to utilize GRC technology and software tools (handheld imagers, tablets, digital cameras, laptop based systems).
- Participate in basic property and fire protection observation checklists as part of select surveys.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to schedule field visits, plan travel, and support monthly workload objectives.
- Engage with clients professionally and support positive customer relationships.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Prior engineering internship experience (e.g., electrical systems, maintenance, reliability, testing, industrial environments).
- Foundational knowledge of electrical components such as panelboards, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and mechanical equipment.
- Interest in developing infrared thermography expertise; Level I Thermographer certification (ASNT or ISO equivalent) is a plus but not required—training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document technical findings clearly and accurately.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments that require PPE and physical mobility (walking, climbing, navigating elevated areas).
- Willingness to travel up to 75% across the U.S., with occasional international trips possible.
- Motivated, organized, and eager to learn new technologies and field engineering practices.

This is a remote, field based position with frequent travel throughout the United States.
