Team Leader (m/f/d) Purchasing

The position is full-time and will be based in the Purchasing department at our Darmstadt location, starting February 1, 2026. The Purchasing Team Leader (m/f/d) reports directly to the CFO.

 

What we offer

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the TÜV Hessen purchasing team
  • Design and optimization of purchasing processes, service quality, and efficiency within the organization and in  cooperation with other divisions
  • Central point of contact for logistical, conditional, and contractual issues, as well as proactive and comprehensive advice and support for internal customers
  • Active acquisition of new purchasing projects and implementation of tenders
  • Implementation of professional management of product groups, suppliers, and contracts in coordination with the global product group strategies of the TÜV SÜD Group
  • Active supplier management and management of delivery risks, including implementation of supplier development measures and sustainability activities
  • Further development of monitoring and reporting for the purpose of monitoring and optimizing purchasing performance, including the realization of savings potential

 

Your profile

  • Degree in business administration, logistics, purchasing, or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in logistics, purchasing, or supply chain management and/or in a demanding specialist or project management role in the area of purchasing/logistics/SCM
  • In-depth knowledge of negotiating with suppliers and service providers and very good knowledge of contract law
  • Confident use of modern IT systems and ERP solutions, as well as an affinity and interest in digitalization, AI, and projects
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, as well as a strong hands-on mentality
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • German level C1 and business fluent written and spoken English
  • Euro driving license B
