Data Architect (f/m/d)

Join us as a Data Architect and shape the data foundation of TÜV SÜD. You will design, build and manage our data landscape, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency while enabling data-driven business decisions.

 

Tasks

  • Advise business stakeholders on data-driven opportunities and solutions that support informed decision-making, digitalization, and business growth
  • Design end-to-end data solutions for business use cases, from data ingestion and transformation to reusable data products
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable data architecture
  • Optimize and evolve existing data solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and business value
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance standards, and data mesh principles
  • Promote reuse by designing shared data products, common data models, and standardized integration patterns
  • Work closely with data engineers, data owners, and data stewards to ensure data quality, compliance, and discoverability through effective metadata management and documentation 

 

Qualifikation

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a similar role
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong ability to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making
  • Experience designing end-to-end data architectures, from data ingestion and transformation to data products and consumption
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling, database design, data governance, metadata management, and data product concepts
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one modern data processing language or framework (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, Spark)
  • Strong stakeholder management and English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
