EMC Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

RF testing for Intentional and Unintentional Radiators used in North America, Japan, Europe

Able to test different Wireless transmitters used for CMS, GMRS, CBRS, U-NII services.

Able to perform testing to ETSI, FCC, ICES, MIC, CISPR, IEC, EN, MIL, Automotive

standards for EMC and RF

EMC testing in both screened enclosure and in-situ environments.

Electronic logbook keeping and data collation.

        Test plan and report writing.

        Test equipment / method development and evaluation.

        Test procedure generation includes provision of photos and measurement uncertainty calculations.

Provide help to customers during their EMC/RF test program prior to start of job.

        Validation of clients’ requirements (may require site visits if required).

        Assistance to the sales team with provision of information to enable quote generation.

        Develop as specialist in a specific area of testing i.e. rail, marine, radio requirements, etc.

        Provide training to engineers regarding specialist areas.

        Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects.

        Work within the controls and constraints of an ISO/IEC 17025 Quality System.
