This is a Product Safety Intern position, reporting to the Electrical Safety Technical Lead. The Product Safety Intern may conduct specified testing and report findings with a high degree of accuracy. This position will maintain confidentiality of customers, products tested and internal proprietary information. Communication with internal and external customers is prompt, courteous and effective.
Your Responsibilities
• Inspect, photograph, and document products for testing and assessment to international, national, and custom
regulations
• Perform and monitor product testing/assessments to applicable requirements
• Collect and document test data in accordance with applicable test procedures and requirements. (In the form of a Test
Data Sheet, graphical information, or others as defined by applicable project scope)
• Prepare accurate Test Reports, Test Incident Reports and/or Technical Reports, to the appropriate standards and/or
procedures
• Ensure project timelines are adhered to, by completing work within the time allocated
• Update Supervisors with ongoing project status, daily
• Written and oral communication must be delivered promptly and effectively
• Operate and troubleshoot test equipment
• Validate equipment calibrations are in accordance with their applicable schedules, ranges and in calibration for the
entire period used for testing
• Report all equipment and test sample damage to the supervisor immediately
• Complete time sheets, daily
• Adhere to all TÜV SÜD policies and procedures
Your Qualifications
• Ability to apply and understand basic electrical concepts
• Must be observant and have attention to detail
• Must be available to work overtime hours, as required
• Proficient with MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Able to stay focused and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Currently enrolled in an Electrical / Electronics Engineering program

• Ability to work in laboratory environments conducting formalized test procedures.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to safely handle and operate laboratory equipment.
• Capability to occasionally lift and handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment
• Primarily laboratory-based environment; occasional exposure to electrical/mechanical test conditions. Application Process:
