Greenhouse Gas Specialist

Your Tasks

  • Act as lead auditor for GHG project validations and verifications, mandatory GHG reporting, and corporate GHG inventories.
  • Conduct assessments for carbon offset projects across diverse sectors (e.g., agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, oil & gas, renewable energy).
  • Serve as a knowledge leader for specific programs, sharing expertise and driving process improvements.
  • Support competency assessments and maintain documentation of training and experience.
  • Collaborate with global teams and travel as needed (primarily North America).
  • Follow company policies and perform other related duties as required.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in GHG accounting, verification, or emissions inventory development.
  • Familiarity with carbon offset programs (e.g., ACR, Gold Standard, Verified Carbon Standard) and GHG reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP).
  • Preferred:
    • Lead Verifier Certification(s).
    • Graduate degree in Engineering or Science.
    • Experience with sustainability advisory services, carbon neutrality, and net-zero strategies.
    • Knowledge of GHG policy frameworks in U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Additional Information

  • The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $75,000 – $115,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.
  • Travel: Primarily North America; occasional global travel.
