Your Tasks
• Plan, coordinate, and lead forestry fieldwork including timber marking, cruising, vegetation and fuels inventories, and harvest layout activities.
• Supervise and mentor forestry technicians by organizing daily workflow, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Support project preparation and documentation such as timber harvest plans, vegetation reports, and contract administration for logging, thinning, and biomass operations.
• Communicate proactively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients through meetings, calls, or written updates to ensure project alignment.
• Conduct carbon and timber inventories for verification projects and contribute data analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with clients regarding planning, data delivery, and changes in scope while maintaining professionalism and service excellence.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance technical and leadership skills related to forestry and compliance.
Your Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field and eligibility to obtain a California Registered Professional Forester (RPF) license within two years.
• Minimum of three years of relevant forestry field experience, including prior supervisory or team-lead responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of California Forest Practice Rules and project permitting processes.
• Proficiency in timber cruising, data collection, and contract administration.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in diverse field environments.
• Valid California driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Physical ability to perform fieldwork in rugged terrain, varied weather, and remote locations; willingness to travel and camp as required.

Additional Information
• Requires use of field measurement tools such as diameter tape, compass, GPS, clinometer, and standard office equipment.
• Involves extended outdoor work, travel to remote project sites, and occasional overnight stays or camping.
