I.      Position Summary

This position is responsible for FS (functional safety) project handling, technical competence building up and technical service for customers.

II.      Job Responsibilities

1. Build technical competence, organizing technical training on functional safety related software etc. Build the technical ability to system level and hardware parts in functional safety domain.
2. Handle functional safety projects, finishing related tests and assessment within lead time (according to ITC_P_18.04E).
3. Technical consulting and judgment for internal and external, including preparing the technical documents and reviewing the technical documents etc. Assist in the related works of functional safety internal processes and quality management requirements.
4. Keep good relationship and communication with clients.
5. Keep a professional attitude towards all customers and colleagues.
6. Communicate with customers, and other groups / teams within TÜV SÜD, including German colleagues.
7. Perform other duties assigned by his/her Group Leader.
8. Perform factory inspection.
9. Explain non-compliance points to customers.
10. Provide technical support to sales staff.
11. Perform ad-hoc assignment as required.

III.      Job Requirements

1. Bachelor degree or above is required, software engineering, industrial automation, electric automation or safety related majors.
2. Good in English listening, speaking, reading and writing is required.
3. 3 year(s) or above experience in software and hardware product development and design, with over 3 years of experience in functional safety projects (industrial automation, automotive, rail) Experience in complete delivery of product certification project with safety functions. Knowledge/experience in cyber security and AI will be a plus.
4. Be familiar with IEC 61508/ISO 13489 series and IEC 62061/IEC 61800-5-2/IEC 61511 etc., understand ISO 26262, EN 50126/8/9. Knowledge/experience with IEC 62443/ISO 21434 will be a plus.
5. Capable of independently conducting/hosting functional safety audits and detailed technical evaluations. A functional safety engineer or expert certificate is preferred,
6. Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
7. Adapted to frequent business trips and able to withstand certain work pressure.
8. Both sales and technical skills, assist sales in developing new customers when necessary.
