I.      Position Summary

The successful candidate will support software quality activities for embedded and edge software used in industrial products. The role focuses on software development processes, requirements, architecture, source-code quality, traceability, testing, and product reliability.

The candidate will review technical documentation, perform or witness software testing, identify quality issues, follow up corrective actions, and prepare technical reports. Experience with industrial cloud and cloud-edge solutions is considered an advantage.

II.      Job Responsibilities (starting from verbs, with % of time spent on specific tasks)

1. Define the project scope, quality plan, technical activities, and required software evidence
2. Review software requirements, architecture, design, source code, test specifications, test reports, and requirements traceability
3. Perform or witness static analysis, unit testing, code coverage analysis, fault injection, HIL testing, integration testing, and system testing
4. Evaluate software functionality, reliability, performance, maintainability, safety mechanisms, error handling, and data integrity
5. Review embedded and edge interfaces, industrial communication, device management, configuration management, and OTA mechanisms
6. Identify software quality issues, provide practical recommendations, follow up corrective actions, and verify effective closure
7. Prepare technical reports and quality recommendations in English and Chinese
8. Develop and maintain software quality methods, testing protocols, technical specifications, and service procedures
9. Cooperate with global groups and technical teams, support project implementation, and perform other duties assigned by manager

III.      Job Requirements (knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, etc.)

1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or comparable.
2. Bachelor's degree or above with 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, software testing, functional safety, or software quality.
3. Proficient in C/C++ and familiar with RTOS or embedded Linux, software architecture, development processes, and engineering tools
4. Experience with embedded software testing, including static analysis, unit testing, code coverage, fault injection, HIL testing, or integration testing
5. Knowledge of software requirements, architecture, configuration management, defect management, traceability, and quality assurance processes
6. Team player with ability to work in international and multi-cultural teams; fluent in English (oral and written) and Mandarin
7. Experience in robotics, energy storage, BMS, industrial control, edge devices, communication protocols, or OTA is preferred
8. Ability to represent the company and discuss technical findings with external stakeholders
