Your Tasks
The Head of PR leads a team of media experts who work closely with the business, sales and marketing partners to develop a PR program that is part of the channel mix strategy aimed at building reputation and achieving global sales targets.
- Strategy & Vision: Define the overall PR strategy in line with business goals
- Media Relations: Build strong senior-level relationships with journalists and editors and act as the spokesperson for small-mid level crises; while guiding the team on securing coverage and manage press inquiries
- Thought leadership & Press activities: Planning and execution of press releases, media briefings, conferences, and trade show PR initiatives; Oversee media messaging, ensuring consistency and impact across regions; Position executives as thought leaders through keynote opportunities, bylined articles, and panels; Support product launches with compelling narratives
- Crisis Management: Lead responses to product level reputational risks or crises and collaborate closely with the CEO Press Office & Crisis Communication to ensure overall crisis management
- Measurement & Optimization: Track media coverage, sentiment, and share of voice vs. competitors; Report regularly to leadership with clear KPIs
- Internal Collaboration: Partner closely with the Marketing Business Partners, Legal, Regional and Divisional Stakeholders to ensure aligned and targeted communication
- Team leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the PR team, setting clear roles, goals, and performance standards
- Innovation: Ensure a modern and innovative PR approach, exploring new methods and channels aligned with market developments and expectations
Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, journalism, business, or related field

10+ years of PR/communications experience, including leadership in a global B2B environment is a must

Proven expertise in communication and senior counsel to executives

Media-savvy and Well-connected with journalists

Strong ability to develop and place compelling narratives with trade and business media; journalist network a plus

Strong crisis management instincts and strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution

Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and executive-level influencing skills
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written
