Machinery Inspector

You will be part of the Electrical Safety & Performance Product Service Centre that provides safety evaluation / risk assessment / testing for Machinery / Robotic products to ensure their compliance with international standards. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will support perform safety evaluation / risk assessment / testing operations and be actively involved in expanding the business and developing new test services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessments, safety evaluations, testing and inspection of machinery and robotic products based on international standards
  • To interpret testing methods/procedures and exercise sound judgement to methodologies and results
  • Proactively support the development of new testing services and capabilities
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of projects
  • Develop, maintain, and improve laboratory management process based on ISO/IEC 17025

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or related field
  • At least 2 years of working experience (bachelor’s) or 4 years (Diploma) in machinery / robotics manufacturing or R&D. Candidates with more than 5 years of experience may be considered for the senior position
  • Familiarity with any of following standards will be an added advantage: Machinery Directive, EN 60204-1, ISO 12100; Semi S2, S8; NFPA 79 / UL 508; ISO 10218 -1, ISO 13482
  • Strong understanding of electrical & electronic circuits and schematics
  • Solid project planning and coordination skills
  • Result-driven, service-oriented individuals with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Dynamic self-starter who is versatile and possesses strong learning agility
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
