People Business Partner

As a People Business Partner, you'll be a strategic ally for your assigned business units. You'll tackle people challenges, champion performance and development, and align talent directly with business goals. It's all about stakeholder-focused partnership: understanding priorities, communicating effectively, and connecting people strategy to impactful business outcomes. You'll consult closely to drive equitable growth and better people decisions.

 

Main responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner to local management, advising on people strategy, representing the People function in the leadership team, driving strategic workforce planning, and building a strong local People network.
2. Compensation & Benefits: Manage the governance of compensation and grading, including the annual salary and bonus cycles, as part of the complete employee rewards lifecycle.
3. Talent management & Retention: Facilitate high-potential and team development, diagnose people-related challenges, and drive initiatives to boost employee performance, satisfaction, motivation, engagement, and retention.
4. Succession: Drive, facilitate, and control succession planning activities with the business to ensure the process aligns with organizational vision and develops a pipeline of future leaders.
5. Leadership Coaching: Provide coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution for employees while delivering targeted coaching and development for local management.
6. Culture & Org. Management: Foster a positive organizational culture by facilitating team-building exercises and implementing strategic initiatives that drive employee performance and engagement.
7. Business Partner Operations: Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day people operations, including individual case handling, local policy implementation, and operational support across the employee lifecycle. You manage requests and exceptions with discretion and reliability, enabling a positive experience for both leaders and employees
 
Required skills and experience / Main competencies
1. University degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in People or business partnering roles, ideally close to operational business units
3. Solid understanding of local labor law, People processes, and people operations.
4. Proven experience in handling people cases, supporting leaders, and implementing development initiative
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels
6. Hands-on experience with people data and People tools to support operational and strategic decisions.
7. Service- and solution-oriented mindset, with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
8. Ability to resolve individual employee or leadership cases pragmatically and reliably, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
9. Comfortable navigating between strategic discussions and operational day-to-day support, acting as a trusted partner to local managers.
10. Confident command of written and spoken English
