Job Summary :
The NDT Inspector Level II is responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections using approved methods to evaluate the integrity of materials, welds, and components without causing damage. The role involves conducting inspections in field and workshop environments, interpreting inspection results, and preparing inspection reports in accordance with applicable codes, standards, approved procedures, and client requirements.
Your Tasks :
- Perform NDT inspections using approved methods such as UT, RT, MT, PT, VT, and ET, based on certification and project requirements.
- Conduct inspections on welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, structural components, and other related assets.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Perform inspections independently within the scope of Level II certification.
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify and report defects, discontinuities, and non-conformities found during inspection activities.
- Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and technical documentation
- Ensure inspection activities comply with applicable ASME, API, AWS, ISO, client specifications, and approved NDT procedures.
- Coordinate with QA/QC Engineers, Welding Inspectors, Client Representatives, and other project personnel regarding inspection activities and findings.
- Maintain NDT equipment and ensure proper handling, calibration status, and storage.
- Follow all applicable HSE, quality, and company procedures during inspection activities.
- Support client inspections, audits, and re-inspection activities as required.
- Work in field, workshop, site, or offshore environments and travel as required.
Your Qualifications :
- High school diploma, technical diploma, or Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant NDT inspection experience.
- Valid NDT Level II certification in relevant methods in accordance with ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent recognized certification scheme.
- Level II certification in methods such as UT, PAUT, RT, MT, PT, VT, and/or ET is preferred depending on project requirements.
- Good knowledge of applicable NDT techniques, inspection procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME, API, AWS, and ISO.
- Ability to set up, calibrate, and operate relevant NDT inspection equipment.
- Ability to interpret inspection results and prepare accurate inspection reports.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, welding documentation, procedures, and technical specifications.
- Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with QA/QC teams, inspectors, engineers, and client representatives.
- Willingness to travel and work in field, workshop, site, or offshore environmentsas required.
