Global Commercial Communications Manager (f/m/d)

The Global Commercial Communications Manager is the business-side marketing interface and coordination role for Medical Device & In-Vitro Diagnostics businesses at TÜV SÜD, translating commercial priorities and market intelligence into clear positioning and actionable briefs. You act as an integrator, working in close partnership with our Corporate Marketing team, which owns execution, governance, and measurement standards. You own the commercial marketing agenda for one of TÜV SÜD's most dynamic business units and you drive it. 

 

Tasks:

  • Own and align global marketing priorities for TÜV SÜD MHS with regions, sales teams, global business development, solution managers, and Corporate Marketing. 
  • Drive customer insight generation and translate findings into clear targeting recommendations and channel choices. 
  • Own the commercial positioning agenda, develop value propositions, proof points, and differentiators in partnership with Business Development, Solution Management and Corporate Marketing; validate and ensure effectiveness. 
  • Create clear, standardised briefings (objective, audience, key messages, CTA, KPIs) that enable Corporate Marketing to execute with precision. 
  • Shape and own business goals for events and conferences topics, speakers, objectives. Ensure structured follow-up aligned to lead and CRM processes. 
  • Mobilise Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to enable high-quality content and event strategies. 
  • Monitor performance with Corporate Marketing using agreed KPIs; drive quarterly review and improvement actions based on data, sales and market feedback. 
  • Maintain stakeholder cadence and cross-regional alignment to keep priorities, inputs, and marketing asset approvals on track. 
  • Ensure compliance of marketing assets with the legal frameworks of the EU MDR & IVDR 

 

Qualifications:

  • Marketing- or commercial focus in business, engineering, medical technology, or a comparable field. 
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in B2B marketing, business development, or commercial roles; ideally in regulated industries or the medical device sector. 
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills in cross-functional, international matrix organisations. 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and competitive intelligence into clear priorities, positioning, and actionable briefs. 
  • Data- and KPI-driven mindset with hands-on experience in performance reporting and continuous improvement. 
  • Comfortable operating without formal authority able to align and mobilise through insight and relationships rather than hierarchy. 
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken. 
  • Up to 30% of traveling for events and stakeholder exchanges 

 

A strong plus 

  • Experience working in or closely with Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) organisations or Notified Bodies. 
  • Familiarity with EU MDR, IVDR, or comparable medical device regulatory frameworks. 
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Marketo. 
  • Additional languages beyond English. 

 

This role can be based at any TÜV SÜD office location worldwide. International travel of up to 30% may be required, primarily for stakeholder alignment, events, and key customer engagements across regions.
