Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Conducting the evaluation of odor samples, e.g., from wastewater treatment plants, sewage sludge incineration plants, and composting facilities
  • After sampling, the odor-laden air samples are evaluated using a special device called an olfactometer
  • Smelling the sample to be tested in various dilutions with increasing concentrations
  • Determine the odor unit per cubic meter (GEE/m³, usually abbreviated as GE/m³) based on the test subjects’ feedback across multiple measurement series
  • The test subject’s duties primarily involve odor evaluation using the olfactometer at the Mannheim site
  • If necessary, evaluations are conducted on-site at our customers’ locations, potentially requiring overnight stays at the customer’s site

 

 

 

Your Qualification:

 

  • A preliminary aptitude test of the test subject is required to perform the measurements (average nose)
  • Flexibility in scheduling the analyses is desirable
  • Interest in the exciting field of odor measurements and evaluations
  • Driver’s license is a plus
