Hardware Engineer, MRI Safety

Your Tasks

  • Perform MRI safety tests on medical devices, including active and passive implants.
  • Review test plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and readiness before testing.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and clearly communicate results to customers.
  • Maintain calibration, verification, and training records for testing equipment.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Service teams to determine customer testing requirements and service needs.
  • Operate laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, RF coils, amplifiers, signal generators, and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
  • Stay current on relevant standards, test procedures, instrumentation, and technologies through training and continuous learning.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electronics or RF laboratory environment.
  • Ability to understand and apply advanced electrical and/or mechanical engineering concepts.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), especially when interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience working in a service, certification, or testing environment.
    • Exposure to project management practices.
    • Hands‑on experience with RF equipment such as VNAs, amplifiers, chillers, etc.

Additional Information

  • The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $65,000 - 70,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.
