Job Summary
The Inspection Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) is responsible for conducting independent site inspections in accordance with inspection notifications issued by the Company's Quality Control (QC) team. The role involves verifying compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and approved Inspection Test Records (ITR-A & ITR-B), while ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates in the Completion Assurance Management System (CAMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out independent site inspections for Electrical & Instrumentation works as per inspection notifications issued by the Company QC team.
- Perform inspections in accordance with approved Inspection Test Records (ITR-A & ITR-B), project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Verify installation quality, workmanship, and compliance with approved drawings and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and report inspection observations, non-conformities, and punch points.
- Update inspection status, test records, and punch list progress in the Company's Completion Assurance Management System (CAMS).
- Coordinate with contractors, client representatives, and the QC team to facilitate inspections and close out punch points.
- Ensure all inspection activities are completed in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare inspection reports.
- Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and site safety requirements during inspection activities.
- Support commissioning and handover activities by ensuring inspection documentation is complete and up to date.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in E&I inspection for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Refinery, LNG, Offshore, or Industrial projects.
- Experience in site inspection, quality assurance, and completion/commissioning activities.
- Hands-on experience with Completion Assurance Management Systems (CAMS) or similar digital completion systems is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of E&I installation, testing, and inspection practices.
- Familiarity with Inspection Test Records (ITR-A & ITR-B).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ISA, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection documentation systems.

- Ability to work independently in a site-based environment.

- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
