Inspection engineer

Role Overview:

The Inspection Engineer will be responsible for carrying out inspection, supervision, and quality assurance activities in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and client requirements. The role involves ensuring compliance, maintaining documentation, and supporting technical evaluations across assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out inspection and supervision activities as per applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Perform stage-wise, final, and in-process inspections of materials, equipment, and site activities.

  • Review technical documents, drawings, WPS/PQR, QAP/ITP, and other project-related documents.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, NCRs, and documentation as required.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams for inspection requirements.

  • Monitor fabrication, welding, NDT activities, and equipment testing processes.

  • Verify material certificates, calibration records, and compliance documents.

  • Identify deviations, raise issues proactively, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Support audits, technical assessments, and third-party inspections as needed.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Hands-on experience in inspection, quality assurance, fabrication, or manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, ASTM, etc.).

  • Experience in welding inspection, NDT processes, and stage inspection activities.

  • Certification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, NDT Level II, or similar will be an added advantage.

  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering documents.

Work Environment:

  • Field/site-based role with travel as per project requirements
