Job Description
Engineer / Expert in conveyor technology / lift inspection (f/m/d)

At TÜV SÜD we are passionate about technology. Innovations impact our daily lives in countless ways, and we are dedicated to being a part of that progress. We test, we audit, we inspect, we advise. We never stop challenging ourselves for the safety of society and its people. We breathe technology, we strive for professional excellence, and we leave a mark. We take the future into our hands. We are TÜV SÜD.

Your Tasks:

  • With us, you won't spend your days sitting at a desk; instead, you'll be on site inspecting lift systems and acting as a competent point of contact for our customers.
  • As a trained expert, you will independently inspect and assess lift systems within the scope of the approved monitoring body (ZÜS) and CE conformity assessment in accordance with lift/machine directives.
  • Your day-to-day work will be varied: different drive technologies (mechanical and hydraulic), a wide range of lift systems of different ages to inspect, from old contactor and relay controls to modern, software-based control technology.
  • An exciting expansion of your range of tasks: testing intralogistics systems (e.g. for large supermarkets) for customers all over the world as part of international project assignments.
  • We are happy to offer you training as an expert in conveyor technology, during which you will accompany experienced experts in all steps and expand your expertise in all relevant areas.
  • Within the next two to three years, you will acquire additional skills and will then be able to test other conveyor technology systems, such as cranes, lifting platforms and escalators

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a related engineering field is an important prerequisite
  • Good knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, functional safety, IT security (if applicable) and mechanics is an advantage
  • Hands-on mentality and solution-oriented approach, coupled with an eye for the essentials
  • Strong communication skills and customer focus
  • Decisiveness and assertiveness
  • Desire for continuous development and knowledge transfer
  • Car driving licence and willingness to work in the field in the region and on occasional international projects
  • Business fluent German and good English skills
