Your Task:
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth for Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), and related technical training programs within the assigned geographic region. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships with OEMs, Tier-1/2 suppliers, engineering service providers, and training partners. The Regional Sales Manager will identify market opportunities, manage key accounts, and deliver revenue targets through consultative technical sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Own and achieve regional sales targets for Functional Safety and Cybersecurity training programs.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier suppliers, automotive engineering consultancies, and educational institutions.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and technical solution discussions related to ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, SOTIF, ASPICE, and related domains.
- Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, and attending relevant automotive events and conferences.
2. Key Account Management
- Manage and grow strategic accounts through relationship building and consistent follow-up.
- Understand customer training needs, competency gaps, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare tailored proposals for corporate training, public workshops, and e-learning solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term engagement.
3. Market Strategy & Regional Growth
- Analyze regional market trends, competitor offerings, and customer demand for compliance-related training.
- Develop regional go-to-market plans for new training modules or certification programs.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to plan seminars, webinars, campaigns, and regional events.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the training delivery team to ensure accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with product management to provide feedback on industry needs and training content enhancements.
- Support marketing with case studies, market intelligence, and customer success stories.
5. Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records, and weekly activity reports.
- Track performance against targets and implement corrective actions where needed.
Your Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 4–8+ years of sales or business development experience in the automotive or technical training industry.
- Strong knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and/or Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434); understanding of typical training requirements is a plus.
- Proven track record of B2B technical sales, preferably with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel within the region as required.
Preferred
- Experience selling compliance training, engineering services, or certification programs.
- Understanding of SOTIF (ISO 21448), Automotive SPICE, or AD/ADAS safety concepts.
- Existing network within automotive R&D organizations.
