Senior QC Inspector -Electrical

Your Tasks

The Senior QC Inspector is responsible for conducting quality inspections, surveillance activities, and witnessing inspection, testing, erection, and installation processes at construction sites, fabrication facilities and vendor locations in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications and applicable international standards.

The incumbent shall ensure compliance with quality requirements for (E&I) Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom disciplines, identify non-conformities, review quality documentation and support the successful execution of project quality objectives.

1. Report directly to COMPANY Quality Teams and act as the focal point for assigned inspection activities.
2. Supervise and manage QC Inspectors and inspection personnel as directed by COMPANY Quality Representatives.
3. Review and implement:
   • Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures.
   • Project Quality Plans (PQP).
   • Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
   • Method Statements.
4. Conduct inspections and witness testing for activities performed by EPC Contractors and Manufacturers in accordance with approved ITPs and project requirements.
5. Review, verify, and endorse inspection and testing records for compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
6. Monitor the performance of Contractor and Manufacturer QC personnel and report any quality concerns.
7. Attend and represent the client in QA/QC meetings with contractor(s) at site and yard.
8. Perform material receiving inspections and verify compliance with project specifications and approved documentation.
9. Witness and inspect fabrication, manufacturing, testing and material verification activities based on equipment criticality and approved inspection requirements
10. Perform site inspections for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom installations including:

• Cable laying, glanding, termination, and routing
• Panels, switchgear, transformers, and MCC installations
• Instrument installation (pressure, temperature, flow, level devices)
• Field instruments, control valves, junction boxes
• Telecom systems (CCTV, PA/GA, data networks, fiber optic systems)
• Hazardous areas suitability/certification

• Participate in site completion walkdowns and Punch list clearance.

11. Witness and verify electrical and instrumentation testing such as:

• Continuity and insulation resistance tests
• Loop checking and calibration.
• Functional testing of instruments and control systems
• Fiber optic and telecom testing

13. Report discrepancies, deviations and quality concerns to the Quality Team in a timely manner.
14. Identify, report, and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions until satisfactory closure.
15. Prepare and submit concise:
    • Daily Inspection Reports.
    • Weekly Inspection Reports.
    • Monthly Inspection Reports.
16. Provide technical guidance and support to inspection personnel to ensure consistent application of quality standards and inspection requirements.
17. Ensure all inspections and tests and all related project quality records required by project specifications, statutory regulations and quality standards are completed and properly documented.

Your Qualifications and Skills

1. Minimum Two or three years Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree in Electrical discipline.
2. Minimum ten (10) years of relevant QA/QC inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
3. Relevant E&I discipline-specific certifications are preferred such as CompEx, IECEx, ATEX
4. Experience in construction sites, fabrication yards, manufacturing facilities, and vendor source inspections.
5. Previous ADNOC project experience will be an added advantage.
6. Valid UAE Driving License is preferred.
7. Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, inspection procedures and QA/QC documentation requirements.
8. Good communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
9. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and quality records.
10. Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to project sites, fabrication facilities and vendor locations within the UAE as required.
