Senior Specialist - Chem Lab 1

Your Tasks 

 

  • Lead daily operations for the Organic, Inorganic, or FCM section—assigning work schedules, supervising technical staff, and resolving procedural or technical challenges to maximize workflow efficiency.
  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the laboratory management system to meet ISO/IEC 17025 standards and external accreditation requirements (e.g., HOKLAS, CNAS, DAkkS, ZLS, CB).
  • Maintain internal document control systems, enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lead the preparation for internal and external accreditation audits.
  • Review test results, daily QC records, and final reports to ensure strict technical accuracy, high quality, and on-time delivery within established turnaround times.
  • Oversee and review method development, modification, validation, and verification data, keeping all testing innovation on schedule.
  • Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and spare parts while overseeing routine equipment maintenance, calibration procedures, and vendor relations.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for Customer Service (CS)—handling complex technical inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining strong inter-departmental communication.

 

Your Qualifications 

  • With a higher diploma/ first or/ and higher degree(s) in science related subject
  • At least 5 years working experience in testing laboratory is preferred
  • Acquainted with testing procedures in at least one of the following fields: (1) footwear/ textile testing, (2) food contact articles testing, (3) toys testing, (4) RoHS testing, and (5) hardline testing
  • Good understanding in quality and safety requirements in chemical laboratories
  • With experience in operating and maintaining at least one of the following instruments: (1) ICP-OES, (2) UV-VIS, (3) GC-MS, (4) HPLC-MS, (5) ICP-MS, (6) FTIR
  • Familiar with international standard methods, legal requirement and regulation
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin
