I.      Position Summary

This position is responsible for developing and delivering professional testing, inspection, certification, and consultancy services of onshore and offshore wind industry in Great China region (GCN).

II.      Job Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the review of key structural components of wind turbines in wind power type certification, covering the review of design compliance and structural safety of hub, main shaft, bearing housing, main frame, rear frame, rotor lock and all connection structures.
• Conduct verification and evaluation of ultimate strength and fatigue strength of structural components in accordance with IEC61400 series, IECRE wind turbine standards and material standards such as VDI and EU code, and issue professional review opinions and technical reports.
• Participate in the failure analysis of wind turbine structural components, analyze the causes of structural failure and put forward targeted improvement suggestions combined with structural mechanics theory and industry experience.
• Conduct simulation analysis of wind turbine structural components by applying FEM finite element principle and relevant software, and provide data support and technical basis for structural review.
• Conduct regular technical exchanges with the international team, synchronize the technical requirements and review standards of international wind power type certification, and coordinate to solve cross-regional structural technical problems in the certification process.
• Cooperate with the advancement of wind power type certification projects, sort out review data, improve project files, and ensure the smooth progress of the certification process.
• Track the latest updates of structural design and certification standards in the wind power industry, participate in internal technical discussions of the company, and optimize the methods and processes of structural component review.
• Provide professional structural technical support for the business development of the company's wind power type certification, and assist in compiling technical schemes and certification proposals.

Job Requirements (knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree or above in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and other related majors, with a solid professional background in Structural Mechanics.
• Have many years of working experience in the wind turbine industry, with relevant work experience in wind turbine structural design, structural evaluation, failure analysis, etc., and be familiar with the design principles and process requirements of core structural components such as wind turbine hub, main shaft and bearing housing.
• Master the FEM finite element analysis principle, proficient in using various mainstream FEM finite element analysis software such as ANSYS and ABAQUS, as well as CAD design software such as SolidWorks, UG and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in IEC61400 series and IECRE wind turbine certification standards, familiar with European material and structural design related standards such as VDI and EU code, and able to independently carry out structural component review work in accordance with the standards.
• Fluent in English, able to conduct barrier-free international technical communication as a working language, proficiency in German is preferred.
• Have strong ability in problem analysis and solving, able to independently complete the review and failure analysis of complex wind turbine structural components, with rigorous logical thinking and professional technical judgment.
• Have good team cooperation ability and cross-departmental communication ability, and can efficiently cooperate with the international team and business team to complete the work related to certification projects.
• Understand the development trend and technological frontier of the wind power industry, have the ability of continuous learning, and can quickly adapt to the update and iteration of certification standards and industry technologies.
