An Aerospace Inspector is responsible for ensuring that aerostructures, systems and components meet strict safety, regulatory and quality standards. You will be part of the Inspection Service Business Unit that provides inspection and assessment on aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform internal and external inspections to ensure that the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or document are met
- Interpret regulations, codes and industry standards
- Perform NDT as required by job assignment
- Maintain equipment assigned to ensure that it is in good working condition
- Recommend, approve repairs and perform visual inspection of completed work
- Compose detailed inspection reports and maintain documentation of inspections
- Compile and submit daily reports, inspection reports, and inter-office communications in timely manner
- Maintain positive relationships among all stakeholders: clients, facility and coworkers
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors
- Complete all required training, including tests within company guidelines
- Prepare risk assessment before commencement of work and ensure that all safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
Key Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Aeronautical/ Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- Min. 5 years of experience as Aerospace Inspector, certified with Level 2 PT, ET, UT (MT would be advantageous)
- Certified Level 2 or 3 NAS 410
- Meticulous, excellent communication and organizational skills
- Open to shift/ weekend work commitment
- Able to build good rapport with all stakeholders
