We are looking for a commercially driven and execution-focused leader to manage and grow TÜV SÜD Academy’s Singapore business. This role goes beyond training delivery. You will own revenue growth, regulatory compliance, and ecosystem expansion, including building new models such as Certificate of Persons (CoP), licensing, and partnerships. You will also take ownership of the sales engine, managing inbound demand while building outbound capability to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth, Sales Leadership & Market Execution
- Own Singapore Academy revenue performance and growth targets
- Lead and optimize inbound sales channels (enquiries, digital leads, partnerships) to improve conversion and pipeline quality
- Build and scale a structured outbound sales capability:
- Identify target industries and priority accounts
- Develop outreach strategies and sales playbooks
- Drive enterprise engagement and long-term partnerships
- Drive revenue across:
- Corporate / enterprise clients
- Government-funded programs (SSG, WSQ)
- Self-sponsored professionals
- Identify and develop new growth areas beyond traditional training:
- Communities of Practice (CoP)
- Licensing / Approved Training Provider models
- Strategic partnerships and channels
2. Regulatory & Compliance Governance
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements, including:
- SSG / WSQ frameworks
- Funding rules and audit requirements
- CPE requirements (where applicable)
- Maintain governance across:
- Course accreditation and approval
- Trainer qualifications and deployment
- Assessment and certification integrity
- Ensure audit readiness and strong compliance track record
3. Product & Curriculum Localization
- Adapt regional and global programs for Singapore market relevance
- Ensure alignment with:
- Skills Framework (SSG), IMDA Skills Framework for Infocomm Technology and other Industry Frameworks
- Competency-based learning outcomes
- Industry demand and employability outcomes
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure programs remain practical and industry-driven
- Support development of stackable and modular learning pathways
4. Operations & Delivery Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end training operations:
- Scheduling, trainers, venues, LMS
- Assessment and certification processes
- Ensure high standards in training quality and learner experience
- Drive efficiency in trainer utilisation and operational resources
5. Ecosystem Building & Industry Engagement
- Build strong relationships with:
- Industry partners and corporates
- Government agencies and associations
- Position TÜV SÜD Academy as a capability-building partner, not just a training provider
- Support applied learning initiatives such as:
- Capstone projects
- Business clinics (within ISO 17021 compliance boundaries)
6. Commercial Innovation & New Business Models
- Explore and implement scalable revenue models:
- Licensing of training content and programs
- Approved Training Provider networks
- Certificate of Persons
- Identify opportunities to expand beyond classroom-based delivery
- Contribute to regional initiatives and align with ASEAN Academy strategy
Key Requirement
Experience
- Min. 6 years of experience in training, L&D, education business, or certification environment in Singapore
- Strong familiarity with SSG / WSQ ecosystem and funding mechanisms
- Proven experience in training sales, business development, or program management
- Experience engaging corporates, government agencies, and industry stakeholders
- Good understanding of digital marketing concepts, funnels and performance metrics (e.g. SEO/SEM, CPA, conversion rates, pipeline tracking)
Certifications (Required)
- ACTA / ACLP (mandatory)
- DACE / DDDLP (advantageous)
