NDT Inspector on field (m/f/d)

The Refinery Inspector performs inspection activities at customer sites, mainly within refineries and industrial plants, carrying out Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Destructive Testing (DT) in accordance with applicable standards, certifications, and company procedures. The role ensures asset integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service while acting as a technical representative towards customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT and DT activities according to qualifications and certifications.
  • Conduct inspections of refinery and industrial equipment, piping, pressure vessels, and structures.
  • Analyze inspection results and identify defects or integrity concerns.
  • Prepare and issue inspection reports, certificates, and related technical documentation.
  • Manage customer interactions and provide technical support during field activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and the TÜV SÜD Code of Ethics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inspection techniques, standards, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma in a relevant field (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Materials, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), holding a minimum of ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in Visual Testing (VT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI/MT).
  • Previous experience in refinery, industrial inspection, or NDT activities preferred, approximately 2 or 3 years, in preparing and producing isometric sketches of industrial plant systems.
  • Relevant NDT experience and certifications (ISO 9712, ASNT, PCN, or equivalent) are considered an advantage
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in demanding environments.
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and results orientation.
  • Professional judgment, integrity, and ethical conduct.
