Test Technician

Your Tasks

  • Conduct testing on electric vehicle and energy storage systems at cell, module, and pack level
  • Perform various tests such as propagation, overcharge, thermal, mechanical, and environmental testing
  • Set up and operate test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
  • Monitor tests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Record and document test data, including reports, processed data, photos, and videos
  • Follow established test standards, procedures, and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet project timelines and deliver results on schedule

Your Qualifications

  • Technical diploma (2–3 years) in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and/or lithium-ion battery technology 
  • Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, or data acquisition systems 
  • Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain high attention to detail 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently 
  • Familiarity with industry testing standards (e.g., UN, UL, IEC, ISO)

  • Full-time position based in Newmarket, Ontario
  • Work is conducted in a laboratory and testing environment
  • Compliance with safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
