Validation-Verification Body Accreditation Manager (TUV SUD America, Inc.; Wakefield, MA): This position will manage TUV SUD America’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Validation and Verification Body accreditations, including accreditation to ISO 17029 and ISO 14065, ensuring adherence to ISO 14064-3 requirements, and ensuring compliance with all other GHG program accreditation requirements. This role will provide the opportunity to join our growing GHG assurance business as we expand globally into new voluntary and compliance programs. Job duties and expectations include: Managing TÜV SÜD America’s compliance with accreditation bodies and programs, including ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB); California Air Resources Board; Washington Dept. of Ecology; Oregon Department of Environmental Quality; Canada (Province-specific and Federal); ACR, Climate Action Reserve, Gold Standard, Verra; and other carbon offset programs; Obtaining new program accreditations and scope extensions as needed to support business needs; Supporting the Company’s Mexico City office for compliance with the Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación (EMA); Managing compliance for TÜV SÜD America’s Program Quality Manual, including oversight of Auditor competency system and documentation; On-going auditor performance monitoring; Pre-engagement documentation (client information, contracts, team selections); Conflict-of-interest reviews and documentation; Subcontractors (competencies, contracts, conflict-of interest); Periodic internal audits; Program feedback and improvements; Record keeping; and other internal process to improve performance and ensure compliance. Based at company HQ: 401 Edgewater Place, Suite 500, Wakefield, MA 01880; position is 100% remote from anywhere in the US. Up to 3% travel (primarily domestic, with the possibility of limited international travel) may be required for internal meetings.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Environmental Engineering or a related field, plus 2 years of experience with ISO standards 17029, 14065, and 14064.
Must have: Demonstrated experience or knowledge with GHG reporting programs including: ISO 14064-1; GHG Protocol; ISO 14067; CDP; Airport Carbon Accreditation; Ontario GHG reporting; Oregon Department of Environmental Quality; Washington Department of Ecology; British Columbia GHG reporting; Alberta GHG reporting. Salary: $99,154 to $100,000 per year
