IT Strategy & Innovation Specialist

IT Strategy & Innovation Specialist (TUV SUD America, Inc.; Wakefield, MA): Support the development and execution of regional and global IT strategic initiatives. The role involves coordinating digital transformation and innovation projects, analyzing technology trends, evaluating new tools and platforms, and aligning IT activities with business objectives across multiple departments and international teams. Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Analysis: 1. Assist in the development, refinement, and documentation of IT strategic plans and technology roadmaps aligned with regional and global corporate objectives; 2. Conduct data analysis to track and report KPIs related to IT strategy execution and project performance; 3. Support evaluation of IT platforms, tools, and digital solutions based on defined business and technical requirements; 4. Prepare analytical summaries, reports, and recommendations for IT leadership to support strategic decision-making; Technology Research & Innovation: 5. Research and analyze emerging technologies - including AI, cloud computing, and automation - to identify opportunities for improvement of IT services or business processes.; 6. Prepare written assessments of technological options and support feasibility evaluations, including prototype or pilot activities.; 7. Document findings and present recommendations to stakeholders to support digital innovation initiatives; Project Coordination & Execution: 8. Coordinate cross functional IT strategy and digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment of timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource needs; 9. Maintain project documentation including project plans, schedules, progress updates, and risk or issue logs; 10. Support the implementation of new tools or platforms by coordinating tasks among internal teams and external stakeholders; Cross-Functional & International Collaboration: 11. Collaborate with business units to align IT initiatives with operational priorities and requirements; 12. Coordinate with IT colleagues in other TÜV SÜD regions to support alignment of global strategy and technology standards; 13. Facilitate communication and information exchange between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure consistent understanding of strategic objectives; Communication & Reporting: 14.Prepare management-level presentations, project updates, and strategic documentation for internal leadership meetings.; 15. Support organizational efforts related to digital transformation, including training materials, stakeholder updates, or process documentation. Based at company HQ: 401 Edgewater Place, Suite 500, Wakefield, MA 01880; Hybrid telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.

 

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, PLUS 2 years of experience in IT strategy, business analysis, digital transformation, or IT project coordination roles.

 

Must have: 1. Demonstrated experience coordinating IT strategy, digital transformation, or innovation projects across multiple departments or functional areas; 2. Demonstrated experience analyzing KPIs or performance data related to strategic initiatives using tools such as Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI; 3. Demonstrated experience researching and evaluating emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and automation, and preparing written recommendations based on documented requirements and selection criteria; 4. Demonstrated experience supporting implementation of technology solutions by coordinating stakeholders, maintaining project plans and schedules, and documenting risks, issues, and outcomes; 5. Demonstrated experience preparing project documentation and management communications, including project plans, milestone tracking, status reports, and executive-level presentations; 6. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel, for reporting and analysis; and 7. Demonstrated experience conducting technology and vendor landscape assessments to identify available solutions, compare options against documented requirements, and produce recommendations for platform and tool selection. Salary: $75,566.00 to $115,000.00 / year
